Unleash your imagination in this playful one-day workshop where mythology meets nature! Instructor Samantha Dwornikoski will guide you through the art of fantasy illustration as you mix and match an exciting assortment of mythological creatures with animals and natural elements to create your own unique fantastical being.
Whether you randomly select your references or carefully choose your favorites, you'll be encouraged to tap into your creative thinking and let your imagination run wild. Work in the medium of your choice or try the underdrawings and layering method that will be demonstrated during class.
Perfect for artists who love to experiment and think outside the box—no prior fantasy drawing experience needed, just bring your sense of adventure!
SKILL LEVEL:
This workshop is open to students of all levels.
REFUND POLICY:
Class fees to Art League of Hilton Head events are final. Credits or Refunds will not be given for missed classes/workshops.
In situations where a class or workshop is canceled by Art League of Hilton Head, a full refund will be given.

| Instructor Bio: | ![]() " SAMANTHA DWORNIKOSKI is an artist based in Hilton Head Island, where she has lived here for six years. She graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a major in Illustration and a minor in Costume Design. Samantha first started showing at the Art League of Hilton Head when she was 9 years old, as the organization’s youngest ever exhibiting artist. Samantha’s artwork is rooted in mythology, folklore, and history, and takes inspiration from the stories of monsters and their relationships to us as people. Her work combines the whimsical, the surreal, and sometimes the morbid while trying to see the beauty in it all with specific detail and historical references. She works primarily with graphite, pen, ink, watercolor, and digital drawing. Apart from being an artist, Samantha is also a proud special needs teacher! |
