Join Art League instructor Joyce Nagel for an immersive five-session course dedicated to the art of drawing. Each week combines dynamic demonstrations with individualized instruction designed to help every student grow in skill and confidence.
Through focused practice, students will sharpen their observational abilities and learn to translate what they see onto paper with accuracy and expression. Whether you’re a beginner discovering the fundamentals or a returning student continuing your artistic journey, Joyce provides expert, personalized guidance to meet you at your level.
In Week 4, the class expands to a special two-day session devoted to mastering perspective—an essential skill for bringing depth and realism to your drawings.
SKILL LEVEL:
This course is designed for students of all levels.
REFUND POLICY:
Ticket purchases to Art League of Hilton Head events are final. Credits or Refunds will not be given for missed or classes/workshops.
If a class or workshop is canceled by Art League of Hilton Head a full refund will be given.

| Instructor Bio: |  JOYCE NAGEL was born in Buffalo, NY. She received a BS in advertising design from Rochester Institute of Technology and an MA in printmaking from Wayne State University. She is a Member of Excellence in the Southeastern Pastel Society and a Master Pastelist of the Pastel Society of America. She has received many awards from regional and national pastel societies. Most recently Joyce won Best of Show for her oil at Art League of Hilton Head's 2015 Biennale Exhibition. Currently, Joyce and her husband Don, teach weekly classes at the Art League Academy in drawing, design and landscape in the medium of your choice. They have teamed up to do pastel workshops in France, Italy, Africa and throughout the US. She is a partner of the Maye River Gallery in Bluffton, SC, exhibiting her work in pastel, oil and acrylic. |
