Transform old treasures into fresh, fashionable creations in “Jewelry: Recycled, Redesigned, Reimagined” with instructor Joan Moreau McKeever. Students will bring in broken or unworn jewelry pieces (or choose strictly from materials provided by the instructor) and learn how to deconstruct and combine them with new materials to craft stunning, one-of-a-kind designs. Joan will demonstrate essential jewelry-making techniques and share expert tips on color coordination and styling. Each participant will leave with unique, reimagined pieces that reflect personal style and creativity. No prior experience is necessary—just bring imagination and a few forgotten favorites.
PLEASE NOTE:
Students should bring $30 in cash for materials, which covers the basic supplies and use of tools needed to complete the project. The instructor will also provide a wide selection of additional materials, including finer stones and specialty items, available for purchase at an added cost. Those interested in incorporating premium materials such as pearls or similar enhancements are encouraged to bring extra cash.
SKILL LEVEL:
This workshop is perfect for beginners, but those with experience are welcome too!
REFUND POLICY:
Ticket purchases to Art League of Hilton Head events are final. Credits or Refunds will not be given for missed or classes/workshops.
If a class or workshop is canceled by Art League of Hilton Head a full refund will be given.

| Instructor Bio: | ![]() JOAN MOREAU MCKEEVER'S formal artist training includes Wooster School of Art in Connecticut, Vancouver School of Art, Canada and University of Alaska. Additionally, she has taken numerous workshops offered locally in Bluffton, Hilton Head and Myrtle Beach, SC. Before moving to South Carolina, Joan ran two advertising agencies and was the Marketing and Advertising Director for a real estate and insurance company in CT. As a single mother, she went into real estate sales full time to support her two children. Since remarrying and then moving to South Carolina nine years ago, Joan has plunged back into the fine art world full time. She is a member of SOBA (Society of Bluffton Artists), Art League of Hilton Head Island, and the National Association of Women Artists (NAWA). Joan is also a member of the newly-formed South Carolina chapter of NAWA. Joan is an instructor at Art League Academy and has taught Abstracts from Realism to the Beaufort County teachers, washi taping techniques and the Zentangle art form to art students, and to the inmates at the Allendale Correctional Institution, SC. Joan has had several independent art shows locally, both at SOBA and the Art League, plus has shown her works in New York, Washington D.C., Savannah, and at the University of SC in Beaufort, SC. Joan's awards include 1st Place Pastel (and Peoples Choice, same painting),1st and 2nd Places Mixed Media, 3rd Place Acrylic, several Honorable Mentions, two awards from the National Association of Women Artists, NYC, and juried acceptance into 2021 and 2023 National Biennale art exhibits. |
