| Instructor Bio: | ![]() Creativity has been a constant presence in HALDORA’S life since her earliest memories, as she explored various creative outlets. From drawing figures and faces, doodling on paper or blackboard, to making imaginative mud pies and crafting doll clothes from old socks, her artistic journey began at a young age. She often watched her mother paint until she was old enough to start using oil paints herself. Naturally reserved during her school years, Haldora found escape through dance classes, and her creative ideas soon evolved with fabric, leading her into a career in fashion design and eventually to owning her own fashion and retail business. In her spare time, Haldora continued to explore other art mediums. Her artistic pursuits have included watercolor, mixed media with paint and fabric, fabric sculptures, clay sculptures, poetry, journaling, and working with color, merchandising, and visual decor. After leaving New York and moving to South Carolina’s beautiful Low Country, Haldora rekindled her passion for working with oils. She finds joy in the movement of mixing colors and experimenting with different tools and surfaces. Her art flows with her moods, often moving in different directions as she explores new techniques and styles or revisits familiar ones. Creativity is ever-present in her mind, inspired by touch, sight, dreams, music, and the serenity of nature. For Haldora, creating is as natural and healing as a wild boar needing the outdoors—to smell the air after rain and feel the movement of ocean sounds and scents. Visit Haldora's Website |
