Join 25+ year professional educator Debi West for this exciting 2-Hour Art Session!
All levels of students will enjoy this workshop where participants will learn the art of mixed media and given a plethora of media to create their very own beautiful sea turtle, which you will LOVE! Debi will help students with tips and tricks to create their own turtle by focusing on composition, color, value, lines, shape and negative space!
You do not want to miss this awesome class!
A Percentage of the proceeds from this workshop will be donated to Sea Turtle Patrol in conjunction with our special Sea Turtle collaborative art exhibit at Art League Academy from July 22 through July 30, 2025.
NOTE:
Students should bring $10 cash to pay for materials, which will all be provided for you!
REFUND POLICY:
Ticket purchases to Art League of Hilton Head events are final. Credits or Refunds will not be given for missed or classes/workshops.
If a class or workshop is canceled by Art League of Hilton Head a full refund will be given.

| Instructor Bio: |  I'm DEBI WEST and I have been teaching children through the Visual Arts for 25 years. I'm now taking my experience to School Districts and Teachers everywhere because I know, firsthand, how STUDENTS Learn! Hands-On Projects = Authentic Learning! Teachers need to know that our kids learn visually and through hands-on experimentation and manipulation so the ARTS matter now more than ever! I am Nationally Board Certified with 25 years of teaching experience in K-12 art education, arts integration, curriculum writing and project-based learning. I am beyond excited to share my knowledge because when we work together, the ultimate winners are our children our most priceless asset! I want to bring my innovative teaching and leadership styles and experiences to teachers, students, districts, art education associations and universities across the nation because I know first hand that: Hands-on Learning = Authentic Retention! |
