Join local photographer J. Lanning Smith for this EXCITING NEW photography class!
Today's iPhone is more than just a phone; among other things, it's a very sophisticated camera with photographic capabilities far beyond the imagination of most people. Yes, you can take great pictures just by snapping the shutter on the phone, but you can also go well beyond that to take photographs that can easily stand side by side with photographs from some of the world's best photographers. In this class, the student will learn the different features of the iPhone's camera and how to use them. We will also learn some basic rules of photography that help in taking better pictures as well. We will also talk about how to edit your images on the phone and some cool apps that will allow your phone to get you the pictures you really want.
SKILL LEVEL:
All levels. Students should have an iPhone 11 or later to benefit most from this class. Earlier versions of the iPhone are more limited, and the student may not have all of the features necessary to benefit from the class.
REFUND POLICY:
Ticket purchases to Art League of Hilton Head events are final. Credits or Refunds will not be given for missed or classes/workshops.
If a class or workshop is canceled by Art League of Hilton Head a full refund will be given.

| Instructor Bio: |  J. LANNING SMITH, "JIM," is both an award-winning photographer and an artist specializing in abstract oil and acrylic paintings. His works have been exhibited at Art League of Hilton Head, Society of Bluffton Artists, the Coastal Discovery Museum, Port Royal Sound Maritime Museum, the Hilton Head Library, Bluffton Library, Hilton Head Hospital and the Southeast Center for Photography. Jim has been awarded dozens of ribbons for his work. He is a member of Art League of Hilton Head, Society of Bluffton Artists, Telfair Contemporaries, the All About Art Club, Carolina Nature Photographers, the Photographic Society of America and numerous other organizations and clubs focused on both art and photography. Jim has been using ChatGPT to elevate his own works, and he is now ready to share his knowledge of ChatGPT with others! |
