We all know when a sketched object or structure just doesn’t look right—or placement on the paper seems unbalanced. Composition—how we arrange our subject on the page—is the basis for a strong drawing/painting. Along with that, linear perspective is a constant that enables us to draw or paint a structure so it will appear to approach or recede in space. Alex will explain and demonstrate the elements of composition and 1-point and 2-point perspective. Materials: pencil, eraser and drawing paper (9x12” or other). A handout will enhance your learning. Come prepared to draw along with Alex.
SKILL LEVEL:
This class requires zero experience. It is perfect for any level.
REFUND POLICY:
Ticket purchases to Art League of Hilton Head events are final. Refunds will not be given for missed or classes/workshops.
If a class or workshop is canceled by Art League of Hilton Head a full refund will be given.

| Instructor Bio: |  Born into a family of artists, ALEXANDRA SHARMA learned early a unique awareness of form and space that is manifest in her work. A painter, print maker, sculptor, and art professor, Alexandra has a Fine Arts degree and has studied at the Sorbonne, France, and Oxford University, England. Her work spans over twenty-five years and she is known for unique visual imagery in her paintings and her ability to capture the moment as she works primarily en plein air. Alexandra is a founding member of the Multi Media Arts Guild, Kingston, Canada, and member of Hilton Head Art League, Apple Pie Painters, Northview Group of Artists, and a lifetime member of the American art honorary, Delta Phi Delta.
