All About Art: & Where to StART

This class is for those who would like to work in art but do not know WHERE TO START and/or WITH WHAT MEDIUMS!
We will start with pencils, charcoal and work our way through watercolor, acrylic, pastels and oil and any others that students may be interested in. Barb will explain the pros and cons of each of the mediums including prices points and other materials you'll need for that medium, including, brushes, surfaces and framing. At the end of the session, students will have time to try them all on a small scale.
NOTE:
In addition to the registration fee, students should bring $20 cash to pay the instructor for materials, all of which she will provide to you.
REFUND POLICY:
Class fees to Art League of Hilton Head events are final. Credits or Refunds will not be given for missed classes/workshops.
In situations where a class or workshop is canceled by Art League of Hilton Head, a full refund will be given.

| Instructor Bio: |  "There is so much to learn in art, to experiment with, to discover and to enjoy!" A native of Michigan, BARBARA SNOW, received her degree in design from the University of Michigan and did graduate work at U. of M., Saginaw Valley State University, and Center for Creative Studies. Her career was in teaching art and high school administration. Since moving to Hilton Head in 1997, there has been much more time to pursue personal art interests. Printmaking, oil, and pastel are current favorites. She has done extensive work in clay and a loom occupies a special spot in her studio. She has had work accepted into both the Southeastern Pastel Society Member Juried Show and Art League of Hilton Head Juried Shows. Barbara has been a member of the Board of Directors at Art League of Hilton Head and displays regularly at Art League Gallery. She is one of the original members of the Applepie Painters and The Maye River Gallery in Bluffton. |
