If you have ever wanted to try to paint in vibrant, transparent watercolor but didn't know how to start, this is the class that will introduce you to classic watercolors and the methods used to create fluid, pleasing results.
Learn all the basics from a former university art professor to get you started on an exciting journey. This workshop will cover: paints - and how to set up your color palette, brushes, types and weights of watercolor paper, color mixing, brushwork and care of materials. All will be demonstrated and practiced.
Come prepared to paint as Alex leads you from design to still life in the studio. Detailed information handouts are included and all your materials to use in this workshop are supplied for a $20 fee!
NOTE:
In addition to the registration fee, students should bring $20 cash to pay for use of supplies, all of which will be provided for you.
SKILL LEVEL:
This class requires zero experience. It is specifically designed for beginners!
REFUND POLICY:
Ticket purchases to Art League of Hilton Head events are final. Refunds will not be given for missed or classes/workshops.
If a class or workshop is canceled by Art League of Hilton Head a full refund will be given.

| Instructor Bio: |  Born into a family of artists, ALEXANDRA SHARMA learned early a unique awareness of form and space that is manifest in her work. A painter, print maker, sculptor, and art professor, Alexandra has a Fine Arts degree and has studied at the Sorbonne, France, and Oxford University, England. Her work spans over twenty-five years and she is known for unique visual imagery in her paintings and her ability to capture the moment as she works primarily en plein air. Alexandra is a founding member of the Multi Media Arts Guild, Kingston, Canada, and member of Hilton Head Art League, Apple Pie Painters, Northview Group of Artists, and a lifetime member of the American art honorary, Delta Phi Delta.
