This class is designed for artists with some experience in abstract/impressionism or experienced painters looking to learn more about the abstract/impressionistic style. This class will help refine your skills, and techniques will be shown with hands-on direction.
 
The purpose of the class is for artists to find new skills/or to enhance existing ones in order to accomplish different types of works that best fit their level of experience and their desire to engage in the unknown.
 
Please bring any and all current paintings/examples you may wish to have evaluated/critiqued or that you want to try.

Ticket purchases to Art League of Hilton Head events are final. Credits or Refunds will not be given for missed or classes/workshops.

If a class or workshop is canceled by Art League of Hilton Head a full refund will be given.

*Heavy Paper, Canvas or Panels

Various Palette Knifes
Straight-Edged Ruler or Putty Knife
Fan Brushes or others
Paper Towels (Bounty)
Disposable Gloves

Instructor: Art Cornell
Instructor Bio: ART CORNELL is an acclaimed photographer, poet and painter of abstract art. His works reside in private and corporate collections throughout the United States. He has judged numerous art and photography shows throughout the Lowcountry. In addition, he has written five poetry books and contributed his poetry to numerous regional publications. He is also recognized as a national Concourse automotive judge. Currently Art exhibits at Art League of Hilton Head. His website is www.artbyartcornell.com

Art has assisted with the Arts program at Memory Matters, an organization dedicated to assisting individuals suffering from dementia and Alzheimer's disease. Recently he received certification in art therapy from Cognitive Connections. Art is also an instructor at Art League Academy, where he offers a number of classes, workshops, and private one-on-one or group lessons.
